The Little Red Dot

An illustration I worked on for Our Planet Week 2021 – an annual Illustration Challenge that aims to raise environmental awareness through art.

It was later featured by Biopak, as part of their Biocup Art Series that collaborates with global artists who explore environmental themes in their works. Check out their page here

As a Singaporean myself, this illustration showcases my take on what we commonly refer to as the “Little Red Dot”. Each element in this illustration represents a special part of Singapore’s ecosystem: from the Jungle Flame and Bougainvillea – two of the most common flora lining our streets, to the free ranging otters, families of hornbills and lesser-known Sunda Pangolins – unique fauna that enrich our biodiversity.
